Learn how to visualize notes from both primary and additional contacts inside an opportunity in Go High Level. Perfect for managing handoffs and ensuring all important notes are visible in one place.
Why This Matters
When opportunities change hands (e.g., switching the primary contact), it's crucial to retain the full context — including notes from previous contacts. Go High Level makes this possible by allowing notes from multiple contacts to be viewed in a single opportunity and vice versa.
Steps to Display Multiple Contact Notes in One Opportunity:
Set Up Your Contacts:
Open the opportunity.
Ensure the correct Primary Contact is set.
Add the original contact as an Additional Contact.
Filter Notes to Show All Contacts:
In the opportunity's Notes section, click Filters.
Choose Match any of these contacts.
Select the additional contact(s) you want to include.
Notes from all selected contacts will now appear.
Associate Notes to Opportunities:
Click on individual notes.
Use the Associate to Opportunity option.
Select the appropriate opportunity and confirm.
Repeat for all relevant notes.
Show All Notes in the Contact Profile:
Go to the Contact Details of the new primary contact.
Use Filters in the Notes section.
Select Match any of these opportunities and choose the one linked to the additional contact.
Notes from both contacts will now display together.
Use Case Example
You switched the primary contact from Mr. Incredible to Mrs. Incredible, but want to keep Mr. Incredible’s notes visible. By following the steps above, you ensure a smooth transition and retain the full history within the opportunity and contact profiles.
Pro Tip
Always remember to associate important notes to opportunities. This keeps your records clean and ensures team members see everything they need — no matter which contact they're viewing.
