Using TheraSaaS with Your Phone System: Two Easy Options

Modified on Thu, 25 Jun at 10:26 AM

Use TheraSaaS alongside your current phone setup, or replace it entirely for intake.

What this covers

TheraSaaS can work alongside your existing phone setup — or replace it entirely for intake conversations. This guide walks through the two main ways to set it up so you can pick what fits your practice's workflow.

Option 1
Text-first with call forwarding
Best for: Practices that want TheraSaaS mainly for text messaging while keeping an existing phone system for voice calls.
How it works
  • Use TheraSaaS to send and receive manual or automated text messages.
  • Your TheraSaaS number is a real phone number.
  • If a client calls it, the call can automatically forward to any number you choose — cell phone, Google Voice, Spruce Health, Grasshopper, RingCentral, or any other provider.
Pro tip

Forwarding ensures you don't miss any client calls while keeping texting centralized in TheraSaaS.

Option 2
All-in-one text + call handling
Best for: Practices that want everything in one place — texting, calling, and documentation.
What you can do
  • Continue using TheraSaaS for manual and automated text messaging.
  • Make and receive calls through the LeadConnector Mobile App or the TheraSaaS Desktop App.
On the desktop app
  • If the number is saved in a contact's profile, start an outgoing call directly from your browser.
  • Use call scripts to guide intake coordinators through conversations.
  • End the call with a click.
  • Need a new number? Use the in-app dial pad to call any number.
Helpful tip

Call scripts help standardize intake conversations for better consistency and professionalism.
